Pete's Place is privately owned and managed. Being a small institution, we are very personal in our attention and service to our guests. You will be accommodated in a fully equipped 6 sleeper unit, consisting of a lounge/dining room, 2 bedrooms, bathroom/shower/toilet and kitchen. The unit is mostly under large trees, adding to the coolness. A large swimming pool will add to your comfort. Water evaporative coolers and fans will keep you as cool as you wish to be. Secure parking and easy access to a regional shopping centre 3 minutes walk away, with restaurant, pharmacy, laundry etc. makes your stay here most convenient.
Close by (4kms) is a world-standard golf course, hotel/casino and horse riding club. We are a mere 7 km's away from the centre of Windhoek, capital city of our beautiful country. We can also help you to get in contact with tour operators etc. We will gladly meet you at the airport by arrangement. Once in Windhoek, you can easily travel virtually anywhere by local taxi.This is quite inexpensive, safe and easy.
SoussesVlei, with reputedly the highest sand dunes in the world, is just a few hours drive away. 3 ½ hours drive and you are at the Coast, surrounded by the Namib Desert – the oldest desert in the world. But be assured of a good drive on quality tarred roads all the way – or you could always go on one of the more rugged alternate routes, through the world-acclaimed Namib Naukluft Park. Etosha, one of the world’s premier game reserves, is also a must, and an easy drive from Windhoek.
